We would like to introduce Japanese sopranist Atuko Kudo who served in EEF Conferance in Germany last year.

She heard Gospel when she was 17 years old. She went for Spain to study after graduation of Music University and was saved by an American missionary. She had been trained by him and she left for Hamburg as on of evangeical team in 1987. Aroung that time, she was having her own concerts. She had a strong desire to spread the Gospel using her gift of music, so that she set up "Kudo Atushko Music Ministries" by the help of Voice of Mission ministry.

How did you become involved with Israel?

A pianist who works togther with me, whose husband, is Jew, so that I became aware of Israel many times. One of the beggest trigger was a trip for Israel as confirmation to set up my ministry in October 2000.

How did you get to know EEF?

In 2002, I met Priest Bach (Germany Established Church) who serve at EEF Germany at Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary in Darmstadt.

After that, my friend lives in Japan gave me a book "Operation Exodus" by Gustav Scheller, and I was given more understanding. And I served at EEF Conferance in Germany for 5 days, 2003, Sep. 12-16.

Here are excerpts report from her news letter.

Report of EEF conferance in Germany.

It was opened Elim Church in Hamburg.

I could not sing for 2 months after death of my mother, besides that I had been busy. Even on that day, condition of my throat did not get well. But during the worship time, my voice came out. After that, some people came up to me to say, "I have not ever listen to such a spiritual praise as you did." I believe that presence of God touched their herats. The place were filled with the Spirit through faith of those who were there.

Her pure voice -like mediterranean soprano-has deeper sound pressure.

In the conferance, coordinators from USA and Russia reported thier works, shared visions and made an appeal that how difficutl to do God's will and how much the ministry needs prayers.

Work of Fishermen

Testimonies of fishermen really touched my heart. According to Jeremiah 16:16 "Behold, I will send for many fishermen," says the Lord, "and they shall fish them," people who get gether Jews are called Fishermen. They come from all over the world and give a part of their lives for ministry for return Jews without pay.

Most of Fishermen are 20's-30's. They recieved the scriptures and calling from God and have joint EEF. They helped and became unified with Jews with hardship of material, physical and spiritual. It would have not been easy. But they said, " Ministry of fishermen is loving Jesus and becoming unified with suffering of Jesus. In fact, the true joy is there." Thier faces were shined as angels.

From "House of Death" to "House of Life."

There is an old building called Contour house in Hamburg that was economical central city of Hansebund. The building was built by Jews. But ironically, it was used by a company to make lethal gas for Holocaust in 1942-1944.

There was a Christian who prayed that this cursed building may be filled with the blessings of God for decades. And in 2000, the EEF office in Germany came into the first floor of this building! The 'House of Death' that led many Jews to death was turned into a ' House of Life' that lead many Jews back to their homeland.

I heard that EEF has many spiritual attack because the ministry is big. Let us pray that the will of God will be go forward steadily.
